"And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." At the Ascension, Jesus gave his disciples the promise of the Holy Spirit.
"Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him." The Church is the community of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.
"As I have loved you, so you also should one another." Jesus is alive in our world today through our love for each other.
"A great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, people and tongue... stood before the throne and before the Lamb." Easter joy continues! We renew our zeal to follow Jesus, our Good Shepherd.
"Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Simon Peter answered him, "Yes, Lord. You know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep." In our Easter joy, Jesus calls us serve others.
"Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last, the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever." The Divine Mercy of Jesus gives us the courage to seek forgiveness from God, and to forgive others.
